Home decor 2013 – Vibrant Two-Floor Apartment details: A picturesque property from the 1600s in Stockholm’s scenic Old Town was the “context” for developing a modern apartment spiced up with classic details. Discovered on Skeppsholmen, this fascinating Scandinavian duplex has a total surface of 112 square meters and three rooms.

On the bottom level there is a large hallway, which leads towards the main bedroom as well as to a large storage space for clothes and shoes.

There is a single bathroom in the apartment, also located below. Classic stairs lead the way to the spectacular upper level, where exposed beams create a cozy atmosphere. It is here that you will find the open plan living and dining space- a bright and clean interior, flooded in natural light from the windows/ skylights. As in most Scandinavian homes, the walls are painted in white, generating a strong contrast with the wooden beams and red sofa. The result is truly mesmerizing.

Home Decor 2013 -  Extensive Collection of Art and Books Adorning Details: If you ever wondered how art and literature can contribute to the design of a modern apartment, here is a live example. Apartment F5 was especially envisioned by Fleitz Group Identity Architects to accommodate the extensive art collection and hundreds of books belonging to an older couple living in Stuttgart, Germany.

The result is elegant and visually intriguing- a youthful space, enhanced by color and creativity.

The main hallway is adorned with floor-to-ceiling bookcases divided by flush-mounted doors, which give away the feel of walking through a museum gallery or genuine library. According to the architects’ description, “sliding doors crafted from dark wood conceal the entrances to the living and dining area. In the other rooms the display of art works alternates between strictly defined areas, such as on the sliding walls in the study or above the seating corner in the living area, and a playfully free formation”. Shades of beige and green ensure a sober tone, an elegant base for all the “knowledge” this home possesses.

The Marina Apartment 1 is just that kind of place – a renovated apartment in Warsaw’s Mokotow district designed according to a few guidelines – a cozy, modern quality home, displaying many wood details and a beautiful sea fish aquarium – and a creative set of minds. After enjoying the Eko Park 3 apartment, this is the second residential loft part of Polish Exit Interior Design Studio‘s portfolio that caught our attention. The photos made by Olo Rutkowski present us with carefully selected and designed details, emphasized by the client’s constant search for quality. In order to have a comfortable, contemporary home suited for this family, the best firms working with wood, stone and other elements were selected and the result is magnificent.

Best Apartment Design-Decorating Ideas 2012 in White, Black and Brown of Romanian: Romania’s capital, Bucharest, is home to this very modern and elegant apartment. Designed to display simple, clean lines on the edge of coldness, the AC Apartment combines black, brown and white in a light, wood-adorned set of interiors.

Bucharest-based Square ONE studio designed this project as an open floor collection of spaces where glass panels and curtains divide the functional interiors. Being a penthouse apartment with four rooms, two bathrooms and plenty of storage space, the AC Apartment displays supporting structure pillars covered with MDF panels veneered with nut plywood, composing an inviting space.

Its living/dining/ cooking space was designed around two central volumes – the kitchen island and the wooden volumes incorporating the TV. With a mirroring kitchen backsplash, the spaces looks bigger and breaks the monotony of a black kitchen. The master bedroom and bathroom share the same space, divided by glass and curtains. Organic-inspired designs adorn the shower, while the round lights manage to sweeten rough angles seen throughout the penthouse apartment.

Small Apartment Design-Decorating 2012 with Modern Features in the Philippines: The owner, despite having a small space, loves to entertain guests and thus configured an open floor layout. The all-white living room features an L-shaped leather couch accented by a steel-mounted Black Emperador marble center table.

Above the couch is a circular-patterned mirror piece that hangs opposite the entertainment cabinet. The owner/designer used combination shades to elongate the feel of the space. At night when these panels become a mix of black and white, the shades become an instant focal point.

The dining room is similarly linear with a table for six that uses a glass top to “lighten” the vibe. Above the dining table hangs a customized acrylic chandelier that complements the owner’s clean and stark aesthetic. The leather chairs are accented by steel legs. The ceiling height that spans more than 3meters, accented by cove lighting, gives an airy feel to the space. All across the apartment are jamb-less swing doors to create a seamless look and further open up the space. The bedroom is likewise a play of black and white with huge mirror panels. The ceiling again coves to provide an accent to the all black padded headboard”. Find the design of this small apartment practical?

Home Design-Decorating Ideas 2012 – Dreamy St.Petersburg Apartment by Anton Valiev: We’ve seen many dream apartments – some of them small and versatile, others spacious and luxurious.

All of them have a common point – a surprising interior design. Prepared to become someone’s comfortable nest, these renders by Anton Valiev exhibit a custom collaboration between natural colors and elegant furniture. With both feminine and masculine touches, this two bedroom apartment in St. Petersburg is perfect for a small family. Tradition and modernity subtly intertwine to shape an elegant display of spaces. One of the bedrooms features blue accents and cream furniture, in a successful attempt to create a dreamy design, while the other bedroom is soberer, although the romantic canopy over the bed softens the atmosphere. A masculine office/den provides privacy and an imposing work space, balanced by the display of travel-related art and a comforting fireplace. My favorite space in this apartment found on Home Designing is the light flooded vanity area – the perfect place to start and end a day.

Decorating Practical Kitchen Idea 2012: Anne Bondarenko sent us a kitchen project she designed for a client in Reno, Nevada, USA. Here are some personal comments she sent, together with the photos of the project.

“My client wanted to have more light coming in and have a look at the huge terrace overlooking the swimming pool, so we installed this 18 foot long sliding door (4 parts, 2 sliding) and opened the space in the dining room. She also wanted a more modern look that would mix well with the furniture she had. We put faux slate on the floor, glass mosaic tiles on the backsplash, stainless countertops, quartz island. The main challenge was not to have upper closets above the gas stove, she wanted a sleek look so I also designed the huge cupboard, made of stainless and frosted glass, to have maximum space for food and plates. Dining room chandelier is chrome and crystal, pendants above island are chrome and blue glass. Stools are chrome and white leather.

Nice Design anh Decor Kitchen 2012 by Italian: Italian design is synonymous with style and this kitchen by Italian manufacturer Cesar is certainly not short on style. Kalea, as it is called, breaks away from more traditional kitchen layouts and creatively redefines sizes and dimensions.

It features doors of different heights and widths, alongside versatile, dynamic open storage units, all of which help to create a contemporary yet playful appeal. However, the kitchen has an elegant feel to it due to the textured and refined finish achieved through the use of rough oak, which is used in conjunction with gloss or soft silk-effect lacquers. Featuring pullout doors and the swivel Swing and Tandem systems, the Kalea kitchen makes it possible to fully exploit all the space available. Kitchen  Design & Decor 2012 – Modern Attitude Kitchen 2012-2013 by Arthur Bonnet: Designed by Marc Moreau for French kitchen manufacturer Arthur Bonnet, the Attitude kitchen is  contemporary design that uses wood in a modern way, whilst paying tribute to traditional French cabinet making techniques.

Made from bright ash, with its light and vibrant grain, the material choice is less predictable than more traditional oak. Ash has a strong personality and is a solid and reassuring type of wood, which conveys emotion.

The warmth and emotion of the wood contrasts with the stainless steel glimmer of the recessed handles which use an original mechanism that is exclusive to Arthur Bonnet. The design uses a recessed system to preserve the line of the metal along the entire side of the front.

The island layout provides a very successful division of the space, with its easily identifiable work areas. The Attitude kitchen makes a real statement about ergonomics. Thanks to its U-shaped design, the island frees up space for an integrated dining area with a wood and white laminate table extending the worktop.

Nice decor for Kitchen system 2012-2013: Kitchens are one of the hardest places in the house to keep tidy. They are constantly in use and no sooner have you cleaned up, washed the dishes and put everything away, another meal comes round and the cycle starts all over again.

Then there are all the appliances and gadgets that you use regularly so you need them close at hand and don’t want them stashed at the back of the cupboard, but then when you’re not using them they take up valuable work surface. And their cables get in the way no matter what you do with them. If only there was a kitchen that could address all these issues…well now there is!

The equipped back section is available in aluminium or stainless steel and can be fitted against the wall or used in an island in the middle of the room. A gap for plumbing and electric connections is available on the inside giving you the freedom to choose the position of the sink and hob with no concern for where water and gas supply outlets are located.
